Calmetta provides communications support for community outreach and the Office of Civic Engagement. Among other things, she is responsible for managing content on the Civic Engagement website and the 53rd Street Blog. Before joining the University, she served as director of editorial services and corporate media for Ketchum Midwest and as a spokeswoman for JPMorgan Chase and Bank One. Calmetta began her career as a staff reporter for The Wall Street Journal, covering banking, retail, and other topics. She earned a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree from Dillard University in New Orleans.
